Semi D House Extension @ Taman Tasek, Johor Bahru

The Tasek House expresses the idea of rejuvenating new life into the old house, shifting the relationships between old & new, antique & contemporary, raw & refined, interior & exterior, while maintaining a harmony between all materials & spaces. On a tight budget constraint, the owner requested not to alter any existing structures and openings. However, some canopy and overhangs will be added for new use of space. To make things interesting, the owner was very open to the idea of maintaining some aged architectural elements to be a feature of the new house. The owner even has his own antique items collections.
